headed for Manpower

Got a lead last night on them. It seems a client company of theirs needs roofers, to install solar panels. I've never been a roofer, but I've worked high up before & don't have a prob with it. Also am familiar with most tools. Hope this works. I'm dressed to the nines.

Something to bitch about.

Why can't I reliably stay awake for 8 to 10 hours like normal people?! Christ's testicles, this is fucking ridiculous. Am convinced this is one of the reasons I'm still looking for a job. I'll get some stuff done, but if I have occasion to go home in the afternoon...or if I wake up really early (0600-ish)...or if I sleep in late...then I can't stay alert for longer than 4 hours max. Been up since 0830 & I am dragging ass right now. But come nighttime, I have to go by Dupont's motto just to get more than 4 to 5 hours of sleep at one time. (You know Dupont's motto: Better living through chemistry.)

What a pus-nutted situation this is. How in the blue fuck do I retrain myself to sleep like a human being & find (& then hold onto) a job at the same time?

more dream stuff

1. A couple nights ago, I fired up my stereo & finally figured out where those end-of-dream riffs came from. My mind garbled them from the opening of Catfish Blues as played by Jimi Hendrix.

2. Woke up early this morning, ate, & immediately felt dizzy. I couldn't drive so I went back to bed. And dreamed I was in a house where ghosts kept appearing & walking around. They looked like human beings--sort of. One of them was my mother's second husband, but his eyes had no irises--just the whites & pupils. I talked to a woman there who looked sort of like Salma Hayek except that her eyes had no whites. Just large pupils, dark brown irises, & that was it. She told me that in life she was not a human being, but something created by the people who used to live there. The house was full of characters. Weird...

a mental quirk...

I always dream, though like most people I rarely remember my dreams after I wake up. What I do recall is just before I woke up this morning, I heard a few short blues-type guitar riffs. Upon gaining consciousness, I realized that this isn't the first time it's happened.

It's like every so often, if my dreams are a sentence, then bluesy riffs are the period at the end of it. I don't know why this happens.

minor good news

Journal Entry: Mon Jun 9, 2008, 12:37 PM
Last evening, I found something in my apartment which I'd been looking for, for several days. Important documents. I was worried that I'd have to get replacements, & considering they're gov't stuff, you know how long that can take. A small victory. :D
